Designed based on the western gabardine jacket that was very popular in the 1950s.
In the 1950s, western fashion became very popular mainly on the West Coast due to the rise of dude ranches.
In the 1950s, rock and roll, which combined western music hillbilly and black music blues, appeared among young people.
The formula of rock and roll = western style was established.
This was also the most prosperous period in the postwar United States, and clothes made with a lot of artificial silk called rayon, which had just been developed in the military, were mass-produced.
This jacket was born against such a backdrop, and it is a western style rayon gabardine sports jacket.
Dry Bones has designed and produced it based on a vintage model, with further improvements.
The fabric is rayon like back then, but the weave is satin instead of gabardine. It has a better color because it is more lustrous, and it is thicker, so it has a heavier feel.
It also reproduces the special piping produced at the time. It is an extremely time-consuming accessory, with ultra-fine rayon grosgrain tape folded and sewn in two colors, black and white.
The embroidery is the same as the original, a western pattern pinpoint embroidery. It is reproduced with a special embroidery machine.
The lining is crimson, expressing a chic fifties style.
The front buttons and cufflinks are pearl hatch, as they were at the time. Moreover, they are tetra pearls with a diamond design and white pearls (paste) inside. These buttons have been popular since the 1950s.
This is the ultimate masterpiece that has fascinated many rockabilly people since its inception, and it has recently attracted attention as famous Hollywood actors are wearing it.
We are proud to have beautifully reproduced the vintage style while evolving it.
