The U.S. Navy CPO Shirt - a classic among outdoor shirts.
Life on deck was and is a rough affair. That's why clothing had to be specially designed for wind and weather. Over the decades, certain materials and fits have evolved in the seafaring world.
The 1943 CPO shirt is one of these garments that evolved in the U.S. Navy. Originally developed in the 1930s, the cut and material has changed only slightly over the decades. We have chosen the authentic 1940s cut for our version.
Good freedom of movement and 2 large breast pockets characterise this shirt.
Originally made from a heavy woollen fabric, we have opted for a flannel for this version.
The following details characterise our 1943 CPO shirt:
-100% cotton
- Authentic cut of the 40s
- Cat eye buttons
- Made in Portugal
